CyberEdge 2024 Cyberthreat Defense Report

CyberEdge recently surveyed 1,200 IT security professionals to understand their perceptions on and plans to address the current and future cybersecurity landscape.

Key insights include:

  • 82% of organizations suffered at least one successful cyberattack in 2023, but that’s down from 85% the previous year
  • Among web and mobile attacks, account takeover (ATO) attacks and personally identifiable information (PII) harvesting are the biggest concerns
  • Malware, phishing, account takeover attacks, and ransomware are the most-feared cyberthreats
  • The average enterprise IT security budget is expected to rise 5.7% this year, the biggest increase in the history of the CDR
